Windows 11 has a center-aligned Start Menu that you’ll either love or hate. In this guide I show you how to make it left-aligned.
I’ve made a Youtube video that explains all the steps in this tutorial. Or, read on!
Time needed: 3 minutes.
How to left-align the Start Menu in Windows 11
- Click on the Start button
You’ll find it at the bottom of your screen.
- Open Settings
Click on Settings to open it.
- Click on Personalization
This is in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. If you don’t see this menu, you may need to click the menu button in the top-left – it’s the button with three horizontal lines.
- Click on Taskbar
Scroll down until you see Taskbar, then click on it.
- Click on Taskbar behaviours
Scroll down until you see Taskbar behaviours, then click on it.
- Select Left-alignment
Look for the option marked Taskbar alignment. This will currently be set to Center. Change it to Left.
You will see the Taskbar move to the left-hand side of the screen. You can now close Settings.
